Relationships are personal, and readers deserve to know how our articles are made. Here is our approach.

What we write and for whom

We write for adult readers who want plain, honest explanations of dating, love, breakups and long-term relationships. Articles are modern and non-judgmental, and they are written for people of all genders and relationship types.

How articles are prepared

  • Each article starts from a specific question or situation, not from a template.
  • We explain why people tend to act the way they do, not only what to do about it.
  • We mention a psychological idea only when we are confident it is accurate, and we describe it simply.
  • We do not invent statistics, studies or expert quotes. Examples are clearly illustrative.
  • We do not claim personal case histories or client stories we do not have.
  • Writing tools may be used while drafting. Every article is reviewed by an editor for accuracy, tone and clarity before it is published.

Sensitive topics

When an article touches abuse, violence, depression, self-harm or trauma, we do not blame the person affected, we do not excuse harm and we do not label anyone with a diagnosis. Where it helps, we point to a trusted person or a professional.

Advertising and independence

Advertising or affiliate income does not decide what our articles say. You can read more on our Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure page.

Updates and corrections

We revisit older articles from time to time and update them when needed. If you spot a mistake, email Contact.RelationshipCues@gmail.com. When a correction is confirmed, we fix it promptly.
